Phoenix

—–In late winter I live in a state of grey — literally and metaphorically. So we saddled up the Palaminos and spent our anniversary weekend in warmth and comfort. I really love high desert places. I find a sort purity and transformative energy in them, even when they host large cities. And, tell me, is there any being more transformative then the Phoenix?

straight-up.jpg—–We ain’t got nothin’ like this back where we comes from! Purely transformative.

scotch-broom.jpg—–I don’t know what this was, it smelt like anise … no matter, it was blooming!! Purity.
———————————————————————————-
neon-cacti.jpg—–Neon cacti and the coldest Dos Equis on the planet. Transformative.
———————————————————————————-
morning-arroyos.jpg—–Early morning in the arroyos. Mercury miners worked this mountain, coming down with a dreamy look in their eyes. Quite the opposite of purity, nevertheless–Transformative.

long-shadows.jpg—–Everywhere you look there is a focal point. Stimulating, expansive and open. The long morning shadows are no exception. Purity.

One of my very favorite love songs…of particular importance when life gets in the way of what is most essential.
